The Rococo challenge is an advantage to you.
Rococo Stone Traders conceptualized that our exclusive precut modular granite system would be cost effective – if certain methods of supply and demand were met.
This included manipulating the different thickness and size with high technology processing.
With the demand escalating for marble and granite countertops this has been a challenge to go outside of the typical granite format commercial sector.
To better understand the concept, consider architects’ needs. Architects typically specify most pre-fabricated granite applications in advance.
The specifications illustrate the dimensions and type of granite to be utilized. By virtue of being privy to this information in advance, the importer has the advantage to source fabrication offshore and maximize profits by reducing onshore labor costs.
The challenge for Rococo was to develop a system that required far less labor and overhead, and still delivered the same finished product, fabricated with the appropriate thickness, special corners in traditional counters as well as multi-purpose pieces – without the knowledge of the application in advance.
Where some providers create products ill-fitted to the American kitchen, our parts work as one system. RST is the ONLY provider of such a program. At RST, we:
- Fabricate a standard size to fit your customer’s needs.
- Custom fabricate for commercial projects in any size
and stone specification.
- Employ a system that serves partners and clients alike.
Building the Rococo Advantage
Through years of experience and personal commercial projects, we have produced and installed some of the most prestigious projects in the world. These range from large resort and multi-unit hotel installations.
These projects require identical product for scores or even hundreds of rooms – a solution only a single-source, prefabricated provider can deliver. With this knowledge, the founder sought to research how to deliver such a solution.
Through years of exhaustive research and development, RST discovered that a modular, prefabricated system would allow a company to deliver first-quality pre-fabricated and standardized modular granite countertop to the consumer, without compromising consumer demands.
The Rococo Process seeks to eliminate the most common issues related to the stone category. RST surveyed the granite industry to determine what the majority of complaints were for domestic fabricators.
We discovered concerns related around seams (the leading consumer or end-user issue), followed by installation lag times that could top eight weeks. The Rococo Process eliminates these two major problems, while also providing many other significant advantages. These include:
- Installation time. The majority of the countertop fabrication is already applied and completed in advance of delivery to Rococo’s dealers and fabricators. With precut lengths and even sink holes, we reduce installation time by up to three-fourths, and significantly reduce costs – which boosts profits.
- Equipment Overhead. Unlike domestic fabrication shops that spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on equipment, Rococo’s AOR fabricators have no need for expensive machinery and maintenance. Still, our AOR's can acquire higher grade machinery to help further reduce labor costs and improve productivity.
- Waste. Full slabs offered by domestic granite distributors often present unsightly and unacceptable natural fissures that appear like “blobs” in the slab. Un-inspected, they arrive at – but are useless to – the fabricator or installer.
Worse, if they are installed, the end-user ultimately pays for the defects, as they are factored into the price of the material used – sometimes upward of 15% to 35%. At Rococo, our suppliers or fabricators source from the best quarries globally, and our representatives personally inspect each slab before fabrication to ensure the highest quality available.
Flaws are eliminated or trimmed from the stone, resulting in perfect precut granite. This can reduce the cost of each slab or finished product by $100 or more.
- Seam-Location Awareness. In the granite trade, unsightly seams are a reality, yet remain a particularity sensitive issue in most installations. In fact, they’re the leading cause for customer dissatisfaction.
Because domestic fabricators cannot determine in advance where seams may be, customers may be frustrated with the resulting location. The unique nature of Rococo’s precut modular system program equips our dealers with the capacity to predict and address these issues prior to installation.
This helps avoiding discounts, dissatisfaction, lost accounts or other negative consequences often resulting from customer frustration.
- Volume Buying Power. We project that Rococo AORS and HUBS will be the largest importers of precut, modular granite and tile components in the U.S. by 2009. By virtue of its affiliation with RST, partners enjoy tremendous buying power associated with high-volume purchasing.
- The Latest Products Available. Rococo strives to provide all AOR's and HUBs with the latest products on the market. Our executive management team and representatives continually seek out new products, and are visionaries in spotting new trends before they arrive on American shores. Moreover, our experience in the stone trade and supporting industries allows us to implement improvements to the category.
- Rococo-Color. By combining top-quality stone with a color infusion process, we provide our Partners – and their end-users – exclusive access to the most desirable granite countertops available on the market with NO significant competition.
